John has gathered a few guitars over the years, but in this video, he will show you his two main guitars: his Martin J65M and his Bourgeois Soloist.
The Martin is the one he usually plays live - it's been his workhorse for the last 20 years. We've lost count of the number of times people have commented on how amazing this guitar sounds. It was imported from the US by Kenny Johnson in Shetland, and John bought it from Noel Rocks in Edinburgh.
The Bourgeois Soloist John bought a couple of years ago, since he needed a smaller guitar with a wider neck, so better suited for finger-picking.
